Blonde Brownies Recipe
This blonde brownies recipe is finger licking good! Make these blonde brownies along with your traditional brownies and you have a great colorful dessert dish for a holiday party.

Recipe Ingredients: 1/3 cup stick margarine 3/4 cup light brown sugar - (firmly packed) 1 egg, slightly beaten 1 tsp vanilla extract 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/8 tsp baking soda 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup mini-chocolate chips
Recipe Instructions: 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8- by 8-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2. In a medium saucepan, melt the margarine. Add the sugar and stir until smooth and slightly cooked, 2 minutes. Blend in the egg. Add the vanilla, baking powder, and baking soda; stir just to remove lumps. Add the flour and stir until smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips.
3. Spread the batter in the prepared baking pan. Bake until the top is slightly set and lightly browned, 20 minutes; do not over-bake.
This recipe yields 16 servings. Serving size: 1 brownie. Exchanges Per Serving: 1 Carbohydrate, 1 Fat.
