Casseroles usually deliver all of your main food groups into one dish. Which is great for busy moms because it means less preperation time and less dishes!
Casseroles also pack a lot of rich flavor into them which is why kids really love them. You can usually "hide" a carrot or two in them! :)
For any reason, season, or occasion casseroles are a great type of dish to fix.
ENJOY!
2. Don't cover your casserole white its baking if you prefer the tops to a little crispy and brown.
3. In casseroles with long baking times, use dried instead of fresh herbs. Fresh herbs tend to loose a lot of their flavor when placed in the oven for long periods of time. This will make a difference in these diabetic casserole recipes.
