Diabetic Snacks

Diabetic snacks don't have to be elaborate or take a lot of time to fix! Know in advance what you can and cannot eat and plan ahead! These recipes are a great way to keep your blood glucose levels as close to normal as possible and to help prevent low blood sugar. These are good to eat between meals and before bedtime.

Diabetic Snacks and Snack Tips


Here are some list of snacks you can make. They are calculated to have 15 carbs or 1 bread/starch exchange.

1. 1/2 of a banana rolled in 2 tablespoons Grape Nuts cereal
2. 15 grapes


3. Five slices melba toast


4. 1/2 cup of either I Can't Believe It's Yogurt or TCBY frozen yogurt or Baskin Robbins, Sugar-Free. Great Diabetic Snacks!
