I have found the best saute pan. Let me tell you why it is so important to have a fantastic saute pan. They are an indispensable piece of cookware. You can use this type of pan for sauteing, braising vegetables and meat, pasta sauces, pan-frying, and searing meat. You can add liquid without worrying about spilling because of the straight sides of the saute pan.
1. The pan must have a wide cooking surface as to accommodate at least 4 pieces of chicken.
2. You also want to look for a pan that heats up quickly and maintains that even heat throughout the cooking time.
3. You want your saute pan to be lightweight but heavy duty.
The All-Clad 6-qt. Stainless Saute Pan meets all of the above criteria. I love how quickly it heats up without burning the food. This is one of the most used items in my kitchen! It is heavy duty but is easy to turn and flip because of its two helper handles. I have no problem cleaning it and for those of you who are stuck on non stick Calphalon pans, you are in for a pleasant surprise. I have since switched to all All Clad and am loving.
