Diabetic Cabbage Recipes




These diabetic cabbage recipes are a real treat! I don't often think of fixing a side dish with cabbage, but this recipe changed my mind. :) I'll usually fix this side vegetable dish with enchiladas or some sort of casserole. They deep purple of the cabbage has so many health benefits! It's something we don't get enough of.



Red Cabbage with Diced Apples


Servings: 6 sweet ones

Measure Ingredient
4 cup Cabbage; thinly sliced
1 Green apple; peeled cored diced
1/4 cup Onion; diced
2 tablespoon Lemon juice;
1 Chicken-flavor bouillon cube
1/8 teaspoon Allspice;
1 dash Pepper
3/4 cup Water;
2 pack Sweet 'N Low


1. Combine all ingredients except water and Sweet 'N Low in large saucepan. Add water. Cover and simmer 20 minutes, or until cabbage is tender. Stir in Sweet 'N Low.
