Diabetic Parmesan sticks - these are a tasty baked cracker-like snack. I really like knowing that a few ingredients went into making the food I eat. If you were to purchase crackers at the store, the ingredients are full of stuff I can't even pronounce!
The recipe calls for white bread. I hesitate to use white bread because it's really not that good for you. White flour has absolutely zero in the way of nutritional value. However, it is converted by the body to sugar when it hits the blood stream. Which means that we have to be extra careful when consuming white bread. It's also been known to make you fat! YUCK!!
Ok, so why did I choose a recipe with white bread? In hopes that someone would read all the reasons why not to consume white bread. So please replace the white bread with 100% whole wheat, whole grain bread.
